Who we are
A Peony For Your Thoughts is a boutique floral design studio, specializing in weddings, events and customized home décor.
First and foremost, our passion is FLOWERS! We are artists who love to create and each new project gives us the opportunity to do what we love most: use our imaginations to bring the most stylish of design possibilities to fruition. Each event and wedding is a living, breathing work of art. Our goal is to delight our clients with unexpected harmonies of flowers and foliage.
A unique feature of ours is that we only work with one client at a time. That means that we will not create flowers for more than one event (especially weddings) on the same day. No double-booking here! We want to ensure that you have ALL of the attention that you deserve!
Lastly, our creative process doesn't stop at fresh flowers! We also enjoy making one-of-a-kind 'objects d'art' for our clients upon request. Some of our favorite creations to date include “living jewelry”, seasonal/holiday wreaths, door décor, calendars and candle sconces. Looking for something in particular to be created? Just ask us! They make great gifts and timeless mementos for friends, family and coworkers.
Founder, Alison G.
As a child it was already apparent that Alison was destined to be in an artistic and creative environment. She has been drawing and writing stories since she was a small child. She graduated with a BA in Education from Providence College and took many art classes while there to hone her artistic skillset overall and to continue to develop her love of drawing charcoal portraits. Her current career as a graphic/instructional designer helps bring an added level of meticulous detail and artistic expression to her floral designing.
She and her husband, Sean, are the proud parents of 3 rescue dogs and work with many different charities and dog rescues to help develop auctions/fundraisers, design and maintain social media platforms and create fundraising items such as calendars, clothing and gifts. (Bonus points if you plan on having your canine companion in your event!)
